Bent Mountain Films was founded in 2025 to produce and finance high-quality documentary films that explore the complexities of American life and confront the systems of inequality and injustice that shape it. We believe that powerful stories can change how people see the world. Our mission is to support the creation of urgent, cinematic works of nonfiction and to nurture the next generation of documentarians through mentorship, financial support, and access to our Arts Center in Bent Mountain, Virginia.
